The European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) is entering its 12th year. Over the years active participation of all members has resulted in dramatic improvements in the characterisation of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of immunodeficiencies, as well as a better awareness of these diseases.
Under the guidance of the working parties, ESID has developed valuable resources (online database, diagnosis criteria) and launched collaborative studies. The newsletters and the web site have been the vehicles for the spreading of this important information.
Florence, the renaissance city of art and science, is the perfect setting for scientists and clinicians specializing in Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases.
ESID2012 offers an advanced scientific programme with a leading international faculty, new approaches to diagnosis and treatments, interactive discussions, opportunities for collaborative research, and networking events.
