The European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) is entering its 12th year. Over the years active participation of all members has resulted in dramatic improvements in the characterisation of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of immunodeficiencies, as well as a better awareness of these diseases.
Under the guidance of the working parties, ESID has developed valuable resources (online database, diagnosis criteria) and launched collaborative studies. The newsletters and the web site have been the vehicles for the spreading of this important information. Now the web site has been redeveloped to continue and improve on this work.
