ESID Grand Rounds: HSCT for adults with IEI
In this ESID Grand Rounds webinar, two distinguished physicians will carry out an discussion about HSCT for adults with IEI.
Dr. Jennifer A. Kanakry will present novel, reduced-intensity and reduced-toxicity approaches to allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation for patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases and primary immune regulatory disorders will be discussed, as well as barriers to success. The title of her talk is "Reduced myeloid toxicity with augmented host lymphodepletion and robust immune reconstitution – novel approaches to allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation for immunodeficiencies at the National Institutes of Health".
Prof. Emma C. Morris will discuss the recent developments and international results in allogeneic HSCT for adult patients with PID. The title of her talk is "HSCT for adults with PID: Who? Why? When, and how?".
